Welcome to the Central Florida Defensive Pistol Association web site. 
We are an IDPA club hosted at The Central Florida Rifle & Pistol Club in Orlando, FL.
Our matches are held on the first Sunday of the month and registration begins at 8:00am.

IDPA is a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and real life encounters.
One of the unique facets of this sport is that it is geared toward the new or average shooter, yet is fun, challenging and rewarding for the experienced shooter. The founders developed the sport so that practical gear and practical guns may be used competitively.  The main goal is to test the skill and ability of the individual, not equipment or gamesmanship.

We shoot 6 stages of fire and follow the IDPA discipline as close as we can.
We encourage new shooters and look forward to having you shoot with us.

Please be familiar with ALL SAFETY RULES associated with action shooting.
This is a Cold Range and as such you may only handle your firearms at your
vehicles, at the designated safe tables or under the direct supervision of a safety officer, (SO).
No ammo is to be handled at the safe tables.
Be sure to wear eye protection at all times when you are on our range. 
Ear protection is recommended whenever along the firing line.

We encourage shooter input in the design and setup of our stages.
